WE FIND LEAKS · 2 MIN READ
Start with the same scope
Two prices may describe different jobs. One may cover an investigation and report only, while another includes reaching and repairing the pipe. Ask each provider to explain what happens if the leak is located and what authority is needed before an opening is made. A low headline price is difficult to assess without those details.
Separate plumbing from restoration
Access to a pipe and reinstatement of the surface are distinct pieces of work. A floor can be opened to complete a sound plumbing repair while still needing screed, flooring or decoration afterwards. Ask about each stage by name, including drying where it is relevant, rather than relying on a phrase such as complete service.
Understand the We Find Leaks offer
Our £1,345 residential package includes the agreed investigation, detection, tracing, necessary access or excavation, plumbing repair, parts, materials, suitable testing and report. Applicable tax is included. A £100 deposit is deducted from the total. Decorative and remedial reinstatement is excluded; commercial instructions receive a separate quotation.
Keep these points in mind
- Request the scope in writing
- Check whether repair parts and testing are included
- Ask what happens if the instruction changes
This guide provides general preparation information. The right investigation depends on the property, its systems and the evidence available. For active flooding, electrical danger or an unsafe ceiling, seek urgent appropriate help rather than waiting for a routine appointment.
