An investigation that fits the property

Leak detection in renovated homes

Investigate hidden pipework when the layout has changed.

Start with the property and the people

An extension or refurbishment can leave services running through unexpected places. New surfaces may conceal altered feeds, connections and heating circuits. Drawings and photographs taken during the work can provide a useful starting point.

Reconstruct the service layout

We compare what changed with the symptoms and available plumbing evidence. The relationship in time is useful, but does not alone prove a cause. Suitable tests help focus the suspected system before access is proposed in a recently finished area.

Before arranging a visit

  • Gather installation and before-covering photographs
  • List fittings, floors and pipe runs changed
  • Share any checks already made by the original contractor

Replacement of finishes and disputes about previous work are separate from the agreed detection and plumbing repair instruction.

From the enquiry to the report

The enquiry establishes the address, symptoms and authority to arrange work. The scope and appointment are agreed before any deposit. Detection findings guide the proposed access, then the agreed plumbing is repaired and checked appropriately. A written Trace & Access report records the relevant findings and work.

For suitable agreed residential work, the package is £1,345 including applicable tax. The £100 deposit leaves £1,245. Decorative and remedial reinstatement remain separate from the plumbing package.
